The problem was that the sitemap did not include multilingual articles, which could significantly hinder the SEO ranking of the translated blog content.

Solution
To solve the issue of multilingual articles needing to be added to the sitemap, we implemented an app that automatically creates a new sitemap for existing blog articles. The solution involves configuring the update interval in the scheduled actions and activating the "Create sitemap" schedule action. Finally, running the sitemap manually for the first time will generate the sitemap, which can be checked at the URL '/sitemap.xml'.

Improving Website Visitor Tracking: Distinguishing High-Quality Visitors from Bots

Identifying human visitors from bot traffic has been a persistent issue on websites.

Companies needed to accurately distinguish between bots and human visitors on their websites to collect and store the correct information, improving our analytics and user experiences.

Solution
To address this issue, we made two changes to the app and modified three things.

We have found that bots are easy to identify when they spend only a short amount of time on a page or visit only one page.

We implemented the first change by incorporating a tracker that automatically updates when visitors scroll down the page, thus ensuring that the information is continuously updated as visitors interact with the website.

Secondly, we defined system parameters to set the duration that a visitor must spend on our website for us to be confident that they are not a bot. We determined that a visitor must spend at least three seconds on our website to consider a genuine visitor.

To ensure the effectiveness of these changes, we also increased the system parameter for visitor information. Previously, the information was deleted after 30 days, which was not helpful for our annual evaluations. Therefore, we recommend adjusting the system parameters to store data for 730 days and track only "human behavior."

To determine at the end of each day who is a bot and who is not, we also introduced Scheduled Actions that automatically filter and delete anything identified as a bot. With these changes, we can more accurately track the number of real and high-quality visitors to our website.
